Philford is driven by a dynamic team under the leadership of Managing Director Michael Phillips. After gaining valuable hands-on experience on the shop floor as an apprentice fabricator, Michael spent time working in every department of the company. He took over the ownership and overall running of Philford from his father in 2000.

Production and Sales Manager Stephen Horsfield has been with Philford for 19 years. He has worked in all departments, gaining extensive knowledge of our products and markets. Stephen travels widely throughout the UK, dealing with a vast range of projects and customers. He is now looking at the potential of the coal and power industries in Eastern Europe.

Christopher Pearson is our Engineering Manager. He has worked his way through the company, starting as an apprentice engineer, gaining both practical experience and technical qualifications. Christopher has spent time working in every department to gain broad experience, and has successfully combined his practical and academic skills in his management of Philford's engineering workshops.

Sales Engineer Peter Sheard is a highly qualified engineer with considerable experience in mining and power generation materials handling equipment. He is a hands-on engineer with practical experience, and not afraid to get his ‘hands dirty' on site to ensure we always meet our customers' requirements.
