Philford plays key role in Welsh coal revival

Philford is playing a key role in the revival of the Welsh coal industry, with major contracts to supply machinery and equipment to new and refurbished mines in the South Wales coal field.

Production and Sales Manager Steve Horsfield said: “Contract negotiations for the development of several mines are well underway, and we are already supplying key equipment to two significant mines in the region.”

Philford currently supplies the Unity mine at Cwmgwrach, which has up to 90 million tonnes of reserves, and the Energy Build site at Aberpergwm, which has similar reserves.
