Drax Power Station was experiencing problems with metal objects contaminating coal supplies. Philford designed, manufactured and installed two magnetic separator systems, which completely resolved the issue. Incorporated into the design was a lifting station to facilitate maintenance and removal of the magnets without impeding the use of the supply conveyor underneath them.
